Oil seals are generally divided into single type and assembly type. The assembly type allows for the free combination of the skeleton and lip material, and is generally used for special oil seals.
Oil seals can be divided into various forms and different names based on their sealing function, characteristics, structural types, working conditions, and sealing mechanisms. However, it is customary to refer to rotating shaft lip shaped sealing rings as oil seals, while static and dynamic seals (usually reciprocating) are referred to as seals.
